'I don't wanna spend my money': Stingy traveler claims that people in their 20s shouldn't have real vacations

One way in which I am very lucky is that I have had a relatively well-traveled youth. This has never been a luxury cruise, five-star hotel kind of experience, but it has been enriching nonetheless. Seeing the world is one of those things a lot of older people get misty-eyed about when they're trying to impart advice to the younger generation, but not everybody feels the same way.

This has been made obvious by a controversial viral tweet that claims people in their 20s should not vacation outside of sofa surfing at the houses of friends who live in other cities. While some concurred with this idea, others were horrified at the idea of having to limit themselves in that way if they didn't have to.

There is no denying that for most people in this messy decade, you will spend plenty of time exploiting the generosity of your friendship group in this way.That doesn't mean you should deny yourself something a little more upmarket now and then, though.
